May 17, 2010 Post

I've been reading about RSS and all of this is new to me. My first question was what is the difference between Google Sites and Google Blogger. Why would a person need Google Blooger when they have Google Sites? I'm getting this question, as well as other questions, answered, slowly.

  1. I dont know for sure but this is my experience with them....google sites is where I created my portfolio, so I think they have different applications....see the difference between a blog and a portfolio? And there is also google docs. I compare that to a word processor that can be used by whoever you have invited into your group, everyone can work on the same document. So, it appears to me that they all have different end products. Does that make sense to you? I dont know all the techie terms to use!

  2. If you have multiple blogs (which you don't post on as I don't) Google Blogger is the only way to go. You don't have to sign in and sign out of each blog. It works well for me as I keep Goggle mail open all day.

  3. I wish there were one document that clearly explained the differences between the different RSS feeds, google blogger, etc. Even though I have read thru/listend to/watched all of the course docs, I am still in a haze about the differences between the different aspects. I can definitely see the advantages to taking this class in a full length semester!
